Chateau Lynch-Bages

It all started by Thomas Lynch in the 18th century, the son of Irishman from Galway, who worked as a merchant in Bordeaux, managed the land wisely and produced high quality wine under the name of “Cru de Lynch.” In 1939, the current owner Cazes family steps into Medoc area to spread their viticultural wings and develops a model for total hospitality to comfort wine lovers.

In the heart of the Medoc on the banks of estuary, Chateau Lynch-Bages has been known for its excellent natural drainage and mild climate to produce high quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. The average age for vines is 30 years with some being as old as 60. Chateau uses satellite technology combined with surveys on soil quality to enhance quality of soil and restructuring vine parcels. Lynch- Bages uses split stave-wood oak barrels with optimum aromatic capacity for aging the wines. 2018 vintage has received 96-99 points from Wine Spectator and 96-98 points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
