In 2016, the weather returned to a more coastal and onshore driven pattern, so the fruit had more time to build its density. This 2016 bottling of John Sebastiano Syrah shows an especially deep and virile expression of the site. It was the first year of mild onshore weather and fog that we had enjoyed since 2011. Those drought years showed a racier red spectrum of fruit, whereas this wine goes into darker territory that is augmented with dank forest-like notes and savoriness.
2016년에는 해안성 기후의 도움을 받아 습하고 온화한 기온으로 인해 포도송이들이 다른 해보다 조금 더 천천히 익어갈 수있는 환경이 조성됐습니다. 너무 덥지도 않고 또 일교차가 너무 크지도 않아 열매가 무르익는데 최적이었습니다. 따라서 2016년 존 세바스티아노 밭에서 자란 쉬라 품종은 묵직한 바디감과 뛰어난 구조까지 갖추게 되었습니다. 존 세바스티아노 밭에서는 지난 4년 동안 적은 강우량으로 인해 보다 강렬한 진홍색 과일의 향과 맛을 즐길수있었지만 2016년은 울창한 숲과 검붉은 과일의 조화로운 완숙미를 느낄수 있습니다.
